Minerva Pinelo, Conference coordinator, 2010

"The equilibrium between maintaining organizations as identifiable entities while changing and adapting to meet future demands is highly dependent on effective leadership and has become a highly valued commodity with varying interpretations (Fairholm & Card;2009;Northouse, 2010). Developing leadership is pivotal to organizational success leading to competitive advantage. This year's conference has the potential to become a catalyst to leadership development in Belizean organizations. My expectations for this year are to facilitate a forum for discussion on strategies, relationships, organizational and environmental context, successful change management, organizational culture and ultimately organizational success as well as to foster team work and draw from the strengths of each cohort member" (M. Pinelo. personal communication, May 2, 2010)

  1. Hi Minerva and Belize Cohort:

Whereas leadership in higher education may be the broader theme, the following focus is suggested:

"Higher Education, Belize's Conduit to (Sustainable) National Development"
